This book is a total waste of money. It is a short pamphlet with almost no good information other than a little introduction to Barry Sears. I can't believe he allowed his name to be put in the introduction. The recipes have no connection at all to the food block list and don't even tell the number of servings in each. I thought I was buying an update to the older Zone book I have. I wish I had read the reviews before ordering it.It is already in the trash.
Starting the Zone Diet, looking for recipes. Fortunately my couch told me how many blocks to eat since this book didn't explain any of that. My biggest issue was that the recipes didn't say how many blocks they were. That's the entire premise of the diet and it's lacking that information. Don't purchase this book!
The info in the beginning is really good. I bought this for the recipes and they dont tell the number of servings and/or the amout of blocks for each dish, so not helpful.
Probably the most unfounded writing of a nutrition book I have ever read. Their advice is based on popularity and nothing scientific. I could have written the bulk of the information of this book after doing a 20 min search on google about this diet. I am not discrediting the diet, just this book specifically.
Numerous typos. Recipes have strange ingredients that you must decipher. Recipes do not include how many blocks, so you do have to spend time figuring them which conflicts with the authors claim that using this meal plan n is easy. Quite disappointed in this book.
Awful.... Didn't get past day 1. There is no info as to how many servings each recipe is. The 'crumble' for day 1 uses 3 apples so i doubt it is one server but who knows, no useful info, no nutritional info, if I could ask for a refund i would. EPIC FAIL!!!!!
